In France, undergraduate and continuing education are the two types of programs available for pursuing a university education. The courses are exactly the same whether you are enrolled in an undergraduate or continuing education program.

Undergraduate programs are intended for:

• high school graduates
• current higher education students
• students on apprenticeship contracts

Continuing education is intended for people who are already working or who have professional experience. More specifically:

• job seekers
• students returning to school
• students on professional training contracts

As a student, you may take a leave of absence from your program for one or two semesters to work on a project. To do so, you must submit an application.

In France, university studies are organized into three levels: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate—a system common to all European countries. Each academic year is divided into two semesters.

• The Licence (L1, L2, L3) is earned after six semesters of study, or three years after the baccalaureate.
• The Master’s degree (M1, M2) is earned after four semesters of study—that is, two years—following completion of a Bachelor’s degree (five years of study in total).
• The Doctorate is earned after six semesters, or three years after the Master’s degree.
• The BUT is a two-year program following the baccalaureate.
• The LP (professional bachelor’s degree) is completed in one year after earning a two-year post-high school diploma.
• The engineering degree is earned in five years and confers a master’s degree.

Connect to the Aix*Marseille University Wi-Fi network. Once connected, open your browser. The first time you try to access a website, you will be redirected to a captive portal for authentication. The login credentials you need to enter are the same as those used to log in to your ENT.

If you do not yet have your ENT login credentials, you must complete your administrative registration.

Your ENT username is listed on your enrollment certificate.

Your login consists of the first letter of your first name, followed by your student ID number.
Your initial password is your national ID number (INE) in lowercase letters.

Log in to your "e-desk" on your digital workspace, then click on the "Messages" section
Once you’re logged in to your email, click on “More” and select “Preferences” from the drop-down menu
Enter your personal email address in the “automatic forwarding” field.

The International Relations Office (DRI) at Aix-Marseille University organizes a welcome desk for international students at the start of each academic year.
