    The "Responsable de formation" (Education Manager) pathway in the "Sciences l'éducation et de la formation" (Education and Training Sciences) Master's degree within the Faculty of Arts Lettres Langues Sciences humaines «  (ALLSH) aims to master the fundamental knowledge and skills stemming from the sciences of education and training and more generally from the humanities and social sciences;the mastery of fundamental knowledge and skills derived from the sciences of education and training, and more generally from the humanities and social sciences, in the full diversity of contexts in the fields of vocational training, education and general teaching. The training also aims to provide expertise and specialisation in methods and practices in the fields of training, skills development and coaching, and human resources (HR) development.

    The aim is to train students in the professional knowledge and know-how of the training professions with a generalist approach: training manager; design, implementation and evaluation of training initiatives and engineering, including the use of digital technology; support for professional and social transitions and transformations; training project and programme manager. A wide range of sectors are involved: local, national and international; the public and private sectors (firms, SMEs, etc.); institutions with an educational mission (teaching, training, support); associations; international organisations and NGOs; industry

  • TARGETED STUDENTS

    Generally speaking, the Training Manager course is aimed at anyone seeking specialisation in education and/or training in their field of expertise.

    This includes:

    −       - training managers and officers

    −      - skills development managers 

    −       - professional trainers (initial training, continuing training, sandwich courses, ODL/training consultants

    −      - educational engineers and consultants

    −      - training consultants (particularly with training organisations)

    −      - Human resources assistants and managers (HR field)

    −      - employment and professional development support (skills assessment, integration, VAE...)

    −       - independent consultants in the field of education, training and professional development

  • FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES

    4 years' higher education in the humanities and social sciences or additional training at level 7 seeking professionalization in training (health and social sectors and industry depending on professional experience).

  • STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION

    The second year of the Master's programme in Training Management is organised as a sandwich course, with one week per month on site to facilitate professionalisation (sandwich courses, continuing education, resumption of studies and work placements). The course is also offered in a pedagogical mode that is entirely distance learning.

    Teaching takes place on the Schuman campus of the UFR ALLSH in Aix-en-Provence.

  • KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED

    The course combines scientific and methodological knowledge in education and training sciences with the study and implementation of professional training and education practices and techniques. It uses the methodologies of enquiry and analysis of work and professional practices (individual and collective) to design training and skills development systems (including on-the-job training). The training also aims to provide knowledge of the diversity of teaching methods (including digital methods) and multimodal training (face-to-face, distance learning or hybrid).

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    Students will be able to analyse the top-down and bottom-up conditions and constraints of the training needs of individuals, companies and organisations in order to design, build, advise, manage and support the implementation of training supply policies.

    Skills are aimed at managing training strategically, adapting to the changing needs of the socio-economic world and making optimum use of resources.

    The skills targeted are at the following different levels:

    −       Design and management of vocational training (planning and organising training actions, monitoring and evaluating training actions, understanding legislative and regulatory frameworks).

    −       Design of training programmes (training devices and pathways, integration of pedagogical and digital tools to improve the learning experience).

    −       Human resources management and communication (knowing how to work with managers, social partners, external service providers, trainers, and learners).

    −       Skills in coaching and team management (supporting management, trainers and learners in their learning processes, and supporting team motivation).

    −       Strategic intelligence and innovation (developments in the field of training, innovative teaching practices, and developments in skills and competencies), to anticipate training needs: proactively identify the future skills required by the organisation, particularly in sectors undergoing change (digital and ecological transitions, etc.).).

    −       Management of training projects, programmes and action plans (including à visée éducative)
