What if everything you see isn't true? - Conference on misinformation

🗓️ Tuesday, March 31, 5 to 8 p.m.

You may have come across posters of surprising public policy announcements in the corridors of your university.

These images have been generated by artificial intelligence.

If they are striking, it's deliberate: they illustrate the ease with which images and information can be manipulated today.

We are four students in the Master 1 Études Européennes Internationales (MASNI) program, and we're organizing a conference entitled:

"The information factory: recognizing the true from the false".

📅 March 31, 2026
🕔 17h - 20h
📍 Amphithéâtre 2 - Faculté de Lettres, Campus Robert Schuman

This conference will take the form of an exchange between three speakers:

  • a political journalist
  • a defense expert
  • an expert in international risks

Discussions will focus on the mechanisms of information production, disinformation strategies, geopolitical and defense issues, and the place of the citizen in the face of information manipulation.

In an age of social networks, informational conflicts and AI-generated images, the ability to exercise critical thinking has become a major democratic issue.

We hope to see many of you there for this moment of exchange and reflection.

Admission free, subject to availability.
