Through a short story by Dino Buzzati, newspaper articles reporting news stories, interviews with rural people from all over France, and excerpts from the work of ethnologist Jeanne Favret-Saada, actress Clara Lama Schmit takes us on a journey into the intimacy of homes in the Normandy bocage, but also into the hearts of those who still want and need to believe. You have to believe in something. We can't have it any other way.
