Students in the Licence Lettres, Lettres et livres course are delighted to welcome Blandine Scherer, librarian at the Baumettes prison (Marseille), at 10am, in the Multimedia building, room T.2.08, Schuman campus.
On this occasion, she will present this largely unknown profession in the book industry, and discuss a number of questions:
- How do you become a prison librarian?
- What are the day-to-day missions?
- What are the specific conditions and challenges in this context?
- How do you build a documentary offering in prison?
- What are the ethical and human challenges involved?
This exchange will be an opportunity to discover an essential profession, at the crossroads of culture, support and public service.
