Created in 1990, the program is part of the Deutsch-Französische Hochschule UFA DFH Franco-German University, and follows on from the twinning between the cities and universities of Aix-Marseille Université and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, which dates back to 1960, as well as the tradition of numerous exchanges between students, teachers and researchers from the two cities of Aix-en-Provence and Tübingen.
The aim is to obtain double degrees (Licence / Bachelor of Arts and Master / Master of Arts) in History. Students from ALLSH and the University of Tübingen who take part in the program spend half their studies at the partner university (one year in the Bachelor's program and/or one year in the Master's program).
