    The Type Course in Cultural Mediation of the Arts presents a specific and central role in the cultural and artistic sector: public development and cultural mediation of the arts. This professionally recognised qualification is based on a series of functions (cultural project coordinator, public development officer, person in charge of the cultural promotion of heritage, performing arts, books, plastic arts... and sectoral cultural action, educational workshop manager, sectoral animator, cultural public services manager, public relations manager...). It corresponds to a large and growing employment pool. This field is based on strategic missions and activities for cultural establishments (museums, theatres, music venues, heritage organisations, etc.);In addition to the above, it is important to note that the European Commission has developed a strategy for cultural establishments (museums, music theatres, heritage organisations, etc.) in terms of development of the artistic and cultural offer, territorial inclusion and expansion/diversification of the public.

    The person in charge of audience development and the cultural dissemination of the arts is a project manager who, starting from a particular field of the arts and culture, in a cultural, partnership, professional and institutional context, is responsible for the development of the artistic and cultural offer, the territorial registration and the broadening/diversification of audiences; It designs, organises, implements, promotes and values cultural projects aimed at developing, diversifying and retaining audiences. It develops a strategic audience policy for cultural establishments and creates the corresponding managerial dynamics. He/she designs, implements, directs and evaluates programmes of discovery and learning of artistic works for the public.

  • ADMISSION CONDITIONS

    Master's degree in Cultural Art Management: 1. Registration of the application via the online application e-candidat 2. Examination of the file 3. Convocation of the selected candidates to an audition 4. Selection of the applications.

    French-German bi-national Master's degree in Cultural Art: 1. Registration of the application (paper file) via the secretariat 2. Examination of the file 3. Convocation of the selected candidates for a double audition (France / Germany) 4. Selection of applications.

    Procedure schedule:                      

    March 1 to April 3, 2023: Application deadline
    April to June 2023: Review of applications by institutions
    June 19 to July 17, 2023: Admission phase (transmission of admission proposals to applicants and response from applicants to these proposals)
    Until 20 July 2023: Administrative registration with the institutions, according to the timetable set by each institution.

  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

    The training in cultural mediation of the arts, through various courses, offers an awareness of research approaches. Its training team, backed by the Laboratoire d'Études en Sciences des Arts, develops work in the field of arts and heritage management, studies of audiences, and research on the structuring of contemporary artistic scenes in their relationship to the dynamics of North/South-South/South globalisation.

    The training team is also involved in the development of the cultural heritage of the arts.

  • SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS

    Training methods (courses, TD, tutor project, case studies, internship) are plural and progressive and favour professional/student interactions and networking.
