  • SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS

The special feature of the course is that the mornings are given over to lectures, while the afternoons are devoted to workshops and some follow-on courses. The aim of the course is to help students enter the world of work. Numerous partnerships have therefore been forged with partner organisations, starting with the Antoine-Vitez theatre on the Aix-en-Provence campus, with which the theatre department is organically linked. The Théâtre Antoine provides regular programming in the Cube, which also serves as an application centre for all the courses in the Théâtre sector. The Théâtre Antoine Vitez offers a wide range of thematic programmes focusing on contemporary performing arts, with a strong emphasis on young people. As a meeting place and crossroads, it supports companies' projects through attentive dialogue and networking with professionals and universities. It is involved in the writing, staging, residency and/or creation-dissemination phases. Working in close collaboration with partner artists, lecturers and the University's Culture and Society Department, the project is developed with a view to opening up and sharing with students and the wider university community. The programme runs from September to June in the 192-seat Le Cube auditorium and occasionally at other venues. The programme is based around performances, debates and workshops, with a particular emphasis on aesthetic and social themes. In addition, a teaching module combining theoretical instruction and a practical theatre workshop is offered in partnership with ERACM (Ecole Régionale d'Acteurs de Cannes et de Marseille), a higher education establishment for actors, with which the acting section has signed an agreement. Lastly, four university productions are on offer: the Théâtre section is calling on directors

in scène professionals to create a show in which the students occupy all the production positions, artistic, technical and administrative. The shows are presented in the partner venues.
