    The LLCE degree in Portuguese provides training in Portuguese language and culture in order to introduce students to the following professional fields

    • Teaching Portuguese - language of communication. The CAPES and Agrégation competitions are very sporadic in Portuguese. On the other hand, there is a very strong demand for teachers for initial LANSAD training in the private sector (associations, commercial, cultural, higher education).
    • Business tourism (organisation of promotional events, reception of groups) and guiding (accompaniment of groups in Portuguese language). We have 10 years of experience in this sector.
    • Applied cultural translation, training and translation of websites and documents,

    Master L.C.E., Portuguese, Brazilian and Lusophone African Studies. The Master will pursue professional specialisation in these three areas by training students in: the engineering of guided cultural pathways, research and the teaching of Portuguese

  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

    The teachers-researchers involved in the training belong to the DEPB (Department of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies), as well as two research units: CAER (Centre Aixois d'Etudes Romanes, EA 854) and IMAF/CNRS (Institut des Mondes Africains – UMR 8171) represented by the Maison de la Recherche du site Schuman and the MMSH.

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    Expressing oneself, both orally and in interaction, in Portuguese at CEFR C1 level by the end of

    Licence 3, regardless of the level of learning, even if it is not yet complete

    - Communicate fluently and authentically in European and/or Brazilian Portuguese - through teaching in both standards and an Erasmus course, to be completed during the course of study

    - Re-acquaint oneself with the main concepts relating to the spatial, cultural, heritage and economic contexts of the main Portuguese-speaking areas (Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique)

    - Learn the main concepts of the Portuguese-speaking areas of the world.

    - Practice independently online translation, reception and guiding of foreign groups, didactics of Portuguese as a foreign language with an adult audience.

    - Create and implement a training programme for the Portuguese language.

    - Creating didactic and pedagogical situations in a context of training future speakers of the Portuguese language and connoisseurs of the culture of Portuguese-speaking countries

  • INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS

    • Observation internship of 4 weeks in semester 6
    • International mobility (Erasmus Portugal) strongly encouraged in Licence 2

    Tutorial projects in the specialisation E.U. in the tourism, teaching and translation fields
