Information non disponibleSTRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION
The degree is organized in 6 semesters offering blocks of fundamental teaching, transversal and general skills and options in other training. License 1 lays the foundations of the scientific approach in language sciences, with some courses on language, communication, the structure of languages, linguistic diversity, the cerebral bases of language, the links between languages, cultures and societies, gestures and signed languages. From License 2, the fundamental courses are subject to progression in the different areas (phonetics and phonology, morphology and syntax, semantics, pragmatics, interactions, discourse, sociolinguistics) until License 3. “Discovery” courses chosen with partner departments (English, Anthropology, French Linguistics, Educational Sciences, Sociology) allow students to complete their training and possibly reorient themselves.
LEARNING AND RESEARCH
The Language Sciences degree is supervised by a team of teacher-researchers who integrate advances from their own research into their teaching. Furthermore, the training is supported by the Speech and Language Laboratory (UMR 7309 CNRS) which is one of the largest laboratories in this field in Europe and researchers are involved in various courses. Several courses offer training in research through research, and students are required to carry out experimental or field studies.
