STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION
Please note, there is only one pathway within the Sociology degree.
Teaching in the Sociology degree introduces related disciplines, thus offering students a general culture and the possibility of choosing a gateway to another discipline. Teaching on the methodology of academic work is offered in both the 1st and 2nd semesters of L1, as well as modern languages.

Modern languages are compulsory in every semester of the degree.
The degree is offered in initial and continuing education.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Students have a dedicated teacher, the Director of Studies. They benefit from regular, individualized support, backed up by courses in university work methodology adapted to their discipline.
Back-to-school days provide an opportunity to present the course, the University's services and optional courses, visit the University Library and introduce the SCD (Service Commun de Documentation).Practice training, compulsory for L1 students, is an introduction to the ENT digital work environment, the AMETICE teaching platform, and institutional e-mail.
(http://cipe.univ-amu.fr)For students entering the program with the authorization of the Pedagogical Commission, a refresher course may be offered (in certain cases, substitution of a French UE for a foreign language, for example).
A student tutor (2 per semester) is in charge of helping 1st year students. In the first semester, student tutors, under the authority of the Director of Studies, welcome and help students choose their options, and provide information on the organization of their studies and working methods. In the second semester, they provide pedagogical support for students who so wish and/or who have been referred by the referral teachers following the results of the 1st semester, and assist the DETU with professional integration information days, as well as welcome days for baccalaureate holders.
SUPPORT FOR YOUR LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION
n the second year, students take a course on
“Professional project and orientation”. This is a compulsory course every semester (2 x 2 credits). The aim is to support students in their career planning. The aim is to provide students with general information and methodological content to enable them to enrich their career prospects and gradually develop their choices. It also provides students with preparation for entry into the job market: knowledge of the socio-professional environment specific to the course, introduction to tools for entry into the job market and the search for internships. The course also prepares students to write a research project, which is often required for Master's degree applications.
For students intending to work in primary education, the ESPE offers options known as UE Pro MEEF: UE de professionnalisation aux métiers de l'enseignement et de la formation. Two UEs are offered in Licence 3 to deepen students' understanding of the profession.
