AIMS
- Subject knowledge: mastery of the Spanish language, based on lexical, grammatical, semantic, phonological and sociolinguistic skills. Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the cultural context of the Hispanic area (history, literature, arts), Spain and Latin America. Target language level: C2.
- Cross-disciplinary skills: social skills (group work, organisation of collective projects), expressing and structuring ideas, producing and writing summaries, communicating and passing on knowledge, identifying and retrieving information, structuring work, knowing how to plan and meet deadlines, public speaking, processing information, using the main office automation tools, autonomy, critical thinking, organisational skills, intellectual curiosity, analytical reasoning skills.

LEARNING AND RESEARCH
The teacher-researchers involved in the training belong to the DEHLAM (Department of Hispanic and Latin American Studies), as well as two research units: CAER (Centre Aixois d'Etudes Romanes, EA 854) and TELEMME (Temps, Espaces, Langage, Europe Méridionale - Mée, UMR 7303), represented by the Maison de la Recherche du site Schuman and the MMSH.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
- Be proficient in written and spoken Spanish at C2 level. Express themselves correctly orally and in writing, in French and Spanish. Handle the language (registers, nuances) in interaction and continuously, in its phonetic and phonological, morphosyntactic and lexical aspects.
- Translate texts from different periods and of different kinds: literary, press, specialised, from the Golden Age to the present day, according to their cultural and historical context.
- Understand and analyse a document in Spanish (text, image, video) with a critical approach: linguistic, stylistic, historical aspects... Define the underlying concepts and issues according to the context. Take a critical, well-argued look at the subject. Write commentaries, explanations of texts, essays.
- Collect information and documents relating to an object of study, a theme. Compile a bibliography. Synthesise information.
