Training presentation
The bachelor's degree in philosophy is offered as a distance-learning course by registering with the Distance Learning Service. The structure of the distance learning license is exactly the same as that of the face-to-face license; course content and teaching staff may differ from one study program to another. Teaching takes the form of courses deposited on the AMETICE online teaching platform, a question-and-answer forum and videoconferencing sessions.
The major comprises a single "Philosophy" pathway, including :
- in L1, subject-specific courses and courses opening onto other disciplines (modern literature, classics) ;
- in L2, a strong core of fundamental courses covering the various fields of philosophy, plus foreign language and digital training courses;
- in L3, a continuation of the core curriculum, plus elective courses specializing in philosophy.
At each level, there are additional UEs in essay technique and text explanation, and UEs in modern foreign languages.
Please note: exams are held on site for most UEs. Students should therefore plan to go to the ALLSH Faculty in Aix-en-Provence in January and May to validate most of their UEs.
