Teaching units (TUs) are divided into subject-specific TUs and multidisciplinary elective TUs.
The latter may be referred to as ‘options’ even though they are compulsory.
Discovery options, Licence 1
These are compulsory modules that can lead to various specialisations within the second year of the bachelor’s degree. They give you the opportunity to change your specialisation at the end of the first semester or the first year.
Depending on your course, you must choose one or two compulsory introductory modules per semester.
You must follow the selection guidelines set out in the course description. An introductory module cannot be replaced by a course featured on the list of language options.
Multidisciplinary EU programmes at Bachelor’s years 2 and 3, vocational Bachelor’s degree, and Master’s degree
The number of elective credits per semester varies depending on the degree programme. You must follow the selection guidelines set out in the course description. You cannot choose courses other than those listed in the course description.
In the LLCER programme, you can choose from the modules in the list below that corresponds to your year of study.
Specific courses for international students
Certain modules offered as part of national degree programmes are particularly recommended for international students.
PLEASE NOTE
Language modules will not be eligible for bonus credits for the 2026–2027 academic year*
Course enrolment for first-semester bonus modules (excluding the ‘advanced study’ category)
will take place from 9 to 23 November 2026.
* except for Catalan
How do I sign up for the bonuses?
Any student enrolled on a course from the first year of a Bachelor’s degree to the first year of a Master’s degree is eligible to enrol on the bonus modules offered by Aix-Marseille University, up to a maximum of two bonus modules per semester.
Under no circumstances may a bonus result in a student being penalised for obtaining a mark of 0 or for non-attendance.
Enrolment for one or more bonus modules takes place in two stages: firstly, the student must register their interest with the organisation offering the bonus module (e.g. SUAPS, Pôle Culture, AFEV, etc.), and secondly, they complete their academic enrolment during the designated period, which takes place later in the semester.
Academic registration for the bonus module for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year will open on 9 November 2026. Go directly to the ‘Academic Registration’ tab on your digital learning environment (ENT) or click on this link: Academic Registration
Without academic registration, your bonus points cannot be taken into account by the Examinations Office.
For the ‘Workshops to deepen French language skills’ bonus, enrolment will take place directly with the teachers of the chosen group(s) at the time of the first session (see the timetable) without the need to notify the Student Affairs Office or the teachers. The teachers will then validate your registration with the admissions office.
If you have any questions regarding bonus credits, please contact the bonus coordinator at: samba.diop@univ-amu.fr
