The teaching units (UE) are divided into disciplinary UEs and multidisciplinary elective UEs.
The latter may be called "options" even though they are compulsory.
Discovery options, license 1
These are compulsory courses that can lead to different Bachelor's 2 degree options. They give you the opportunity to reorient yourself at the end of the first semester or first year.
Depending on the stream, you have one or two compulsory discovery options to choose from each semester.
You must follow the instructions given on the course syllabus. A discovery option cannot be replaced by a course from the list of language options.
Multidisciplinary courses in bachelor's degrees 2 and 3, professional bachelor's degrees, master's degrees
The number of elective units per semester is specific to each degree. You must follow the instructions on the course sheet. It is not possible to choose courses other than those indicated on the syllabus.
In LLCER, you can choose from the UE listed below for your year.
Special courses for international students
Certain courses offered in national diplomas are particularly recommended for international students.
ATTENTION
Language UEs will not be open to bonuses in 2025-2026*.
Pedagogical registration for second-semester bonuses (excluding the "knowledge enhancement" category)
will take place from March 2 to March 16, 2026
* except Catalan
How do I sign up for bonuses?
All students enrolled from Licence 1 to Master 1 are eligible for the bonuses offered by Aix-Marseille Université, up to a limit of two per semester.
Under no circumstances may a bonus penalize a student for failing to obtain a grade of 0, or for non-participation.
Registration for one or more bonuses takes place in two stages: firstly, the student registers with the structure offering the bonus (e.g. SUAPS, Pôle Culture, AFEV, etc.), and secondly, he or she registers during the dedicated period, which takes place later in the semester.
Bonus pedagogical registration for the 2ᵈ semester of the 2025-2026 year will be open from March 2 to March 16, 2026. Go directly to the Pedagogical registration tab on your ENT or click on this link: Pedagogical registration
Without pedagogical registration, your bonus will not be taken into account by the examinations office.
For the "Ateliers d'approfondissement des pratiques de la langue française" bonus, registrations are made directly with the teachers of the chosen group(s) at the time of the first session (see timetable), without having to notify the school or the teachers. The teachers will then validate your registration with the school.
