AIMS
The special feature of the Lettres et Ecriture pathway lies in the importance given to creative writing. Students will benefit from individualised support in their creative practice (individual and group, in workshops, in conjunction with professionals, as part of internships, etc.), with a special emphasis on interdisciplinarity (literature, linguistics, digital, etc.).

ADMISSION CONDITIONS
Applicants holding a baccalaureate or a DAEU are authorised to register for a licence.

STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION
The Modern Literature degree, whatever the path, is organised into three major blocks of knowledge and skills which are structured as follows : block 1 covers cross-disciplinary and general knowledge (methodology, modern languages, career planning and orientation, digital project, knowledge of the French-speaking world and the Middle Ages, etc.); Block 2 covers fundamental skills in French literature, comparative literature, French language and linguistics, and French literature and linguistics;french language and linguistics; in block 3, the emphasis is on specialised skills related to training in creative writing;criture créative (atelier d'écriture, écriture numérique, l'œuvre et le monde éditorial, l'œuvre et son auteur, le stage...)
LEARNING AND RESEARCH
The introduction to research is part of the gradual specialisation of training in literature and writing and the preparation for further study after the bachelor's degree. In Year 3, students are made more aware of the tools and issues involved in current research in French and comparative literature, and in French language and linguistics.
